Wedding FAQ’s

Do we really need a pre-wedding shoot?

A pre-wedding shoot is a great way for us to get to know each other, which will
naturally bring benefits to your day. However this is your choice. You may find that you want to use some of these images for wedding invitations or a signing frame.
This is a complimentary part of your package, so will not reduce your package cost.

Can we meet before booking?

Definitely! Choosing a photographer is a very important decision. This is your opportunity to ask as many questions as you like, view more of my work, which will install confidence that I’m the right person for your day.

Do you do formal group shots?

Yes. As already mentioned my style is more of a documentary wedding photographer, however formal shots play an important part of your wedding package. I try to limit group photos to ensure your day continues to flow naturally.

Are you insured?

Yes. I am fully insured with public liability insurance, equipment cover and
professional indemnity insurance.
All documents can be provided upon request.

Do we get a second photographer?

Depending on the number of guests, the venue and your requirements will dictate whether a second photographer is needed. We can discuss this together at our meeting, but a second photographer will mean an additional fee.

Can you hold our date, while we decide?

Unfortunately not. I can only hold your date once you have signed your wedding
contract and paid your deposit.

What happens if you are ill?

I would love to say that that this would never happen but no wedding photographer can guarantee against illness or exceptional unexpected circumstances. This is my business, and I’m fully committed to your wedding day photography. In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend I will do my utmost to find a replacement
photographer, or provide a full refund.

How far will you travel?

I’m prepared to travel up to 60 miles. Of course if your wedding is further afield travel expenses will apply

Portrait FAQ’s

Baby shoots?

All baby sessions are conducted in natural light. Most Mum’s are more comfortable in their own home; however I am more than happy for you to come to me.

I have limited props, but I am more than happy for you to bring or use anything you may have. I always think it is best to use something personal to you, something to trigger even more memories in years to come.

How do I pose?

I will have loads of ideas of how to get the most from our time together. Of course we will speak before our session to discuss what you want to achieve, ensuring I am the right photographer for you.

How long is the shoot?

Photography shoots can range from between one to two hours for a maternity, new born or baby shoots nearer to two hours. I pride myself in making sure your session is as relaxed as possible, if you need to stop for feeds, coffee and just a break that’s fine by me.

Will you come to us?

I am happy to travel within 20 miles of Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Of course if you have an alternative location in mind I am willing to travel, but additional costs may apply.

Bookings are exclusive to you, and I will ensure you will receive my full and undivided attention.  I only book one shoot a day (excluding ‘special’ portrait days), so I won’t be rushing off or cutting short our time together to make another appointment.

When do we see our photos?

After your session, and within 7 working days, you will receive a link to your online gallery. These will be fully edited images containing a watermark. Your online gallery will remain open for 2 weeks, which can be shared with family and friends.

I offer an extensive range of products and before our session we will discuss what you’re looking for to ensure your expectations are met.

Are you insured?

Yes. I am fully insured with public liability insurance, equipment cover and
professional indemnity insurance.
All documents can be provided upon request.
